Balik Tanaw: Celebrating Our Roots Series
The five-day competition was held at the Cote de Liesse Racquet Club in Ville Saint Laurent on January 26, 27, February 2, 3 and 9. 1982. Dominating the tournament were the Sarasola brothers - Luc and Ike - both wining the champion trophy for Class “A” and Class “B” respectively. Ricardo “Jun” Timbol captured the Class “C” title while Jean Borjal retained the ladies crown.
The runners-up were: Marc Martin - Class “A”, John Abelardo - Class “B”, Ruben Santos - Class “C” and Carmen “Menchu” Zavalla - Ladies. Twelve year old Victor Wan won the “Binhi” (Seeding) award. He defeated Brian Imperial, Nancy Sarasola and Erwin Fausto.

Treat yourself this winter!
The much-awaited Winter Escapade takes place in 2027 in a special Very Important Pinoy Tour Edition — a reunion tour bringing together the Winter Escapade and the U.S. Very Important Pinoy Tour for another memorable journey home to the Philippines.
The 2027 tour will feature multiple destinations. The detailed itinerary, registration procedures, tour packages, and payment details will be announced by Philippine Foreign Service Posts in July 2026.
